Schoolhouse Day Again

Today was Schoohouse Day again - meaning Pat's was closed. This time was because of the K2 graduation concert on the 20th.

With the unpredictable weather, outdoor actvities were ruled out. In the end, with some decision making by Ash, we went to Downtown East to watch Madagascar 2. After getting our tickets, we had our breakfast at Kopi Alley. Ash had her usual Kaya Toast and half-boiled egg while I had my kopi-si and chee cheong fun.

Madagascar 2 didn't seem to capture Ash as much as Kungfu Panda or Wall.E did. Not sure if it was because going to the cinema wasn't a new experience to her anymore or the it was simply not interetsing to her. She was a little restless throughout. After the show, we headed to Pasta Mania for lunch. Because we had wandered into Zone X earlier while waiting for the show to start, I brought Ash back to look around...and ended up spending $15 on the games ! It would have been more if Ash had realised that I had pretended to put money into some of the games! Even after close to an hour there, she didn't want to leave the place, she dragged me around to see other kids playing the games.

After convincng her to leave, we headed downstairs to have yoghurt ice-cream. Half-way thru her yoghurt, Ash decided that she wanted to dance and proceeded to peform a song-n-dance right in the shop.Decided to call it a day at 3pm and headed to the car where Ash promptly fell asleep.
