Negative feedback again

Ms Michelle :" Mr. Lim, just to let you know that this evening Ashley tried to push one of the younger kids from the toddler class." Have to admit that it was a little disappointing to hear such things.
Was also told that she and Emma tend to get into "arguements" if they are left alone together for too long and Ash had tendency to "use her hands". However Ms Michelle added that Ashley knows what she does is wrong and will apologise when disciplined. She really needs to learn to curb that temper of hers.
We had to talk with her this evening, reminding her that it was wrong to push her friends and other children and if she did it again, the cane would come out.

Uncle cannot park car

That's what Ash said when we came across this man trying to park his car in the car-park. He couldn't do it in one try and had to adjust several times.
I have to admit, she probably...no, not probably, defintely picked this up from me. After I parked, we waited awhile in the car till the uncle left...we didn't want to be in an akward situation should Ash continue repeating "Uncle cannot park car" ! ha ha.

T3 Fun
Finally was able to do the Singaporean thing.....visit the spanking new Changi Airport Terminal 3.
We decided to have our lunch at Crystal Jade Shanghai Restaurant. All I will say is....service here is bad. The chikdren's plate that they brought for Ash was so badly washed, there was still food left over. Even though we were 4th in the queue, it took close to 30mins before we were ushered to our seats and another hour before we were done with our 2 dish meal. Fortunately, Ash was enjoying herself, so when Ash is happy, mummy and daddy are happy.
After lunch, we explored the departure hall. Since only a few airlines are currently using T3, it was relatively empty....meaning ample space for a run about !!

After all her exertions, Ash fell asleep immediately she hit her child seat.

Chaos & Stage Fright

Last Friday Pat's celebrated CNY with performances by the teachers and the playgroup kids. The teachers were indeed very sporting to have prepared a song and a dance item. But what everyone was waiting for was the performance by the playgroup kids.
When the kids came out, chaos and stage fright took over. Some froze, like Ash. Some cried, some ran off to their mummies, but the as the saying goes, The show must go on.

Reunion Dinner

Today was reunion dinner with daddy's side of the family at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant, Safra Resort. Ash was initially excited, she went on saying " I want to see Mama, Uncle Johnnie, Uncle Danny, Aunty Wendy and Kor-kor Lucas". She even agreed to sing "Gong Xi, Gong Xi". But when everyone was there, she was sooooooooo soft-spoken that we could hardly hear what she was saying.

Sigh...she really needs a dose of confidence when meeting people outside of the home.

Your teeth are yellow too

This afternoon, Viv asked me to brush Ash's teeth as we've not been very diligent in enforcing teeth brushing for Ash.

Me : "Ash, come here, brush your teeth. Your teeth are yellow."

Ash comes over.

Me : "Ok, do this" *I clench my teeth to show Ash what to do*

Ash stares are my teeth : " Daddy, your teeth also yellow", and laughs evilly (or at least in my mind it sounded evil)
