Morning outing at Compasspoint

Decided to bring Ash out to Compasspoint this morning. We headed straight to Delifrance where I ordered the Le Scrambled Egg Croissant which came with a cup of coffee and a chocolate chip cookie.

Ash as expected ate the cookie and later shared the srambled eggs with me.

Because it was still fairly early, there weren't many people at Compasspoint and Ash enjoyed herself running around the atrium area.

We then went to Best Denki where Ash proceeded to open every refridgerator door, pretending to keep her imaginary vegetables. Afte she got bored with the refridgerators, she went over to the TV section to watch cartoons on the LCD and Plasma TVs.

Later that afternoon, while I was folding the clean laundry, Ash came in, picked one of mummy's dresses and tried to put it on. After she got bored of it, she decided to try on one of my polo t-shirts.

Attempted hair cut at Junior League, United Sq was a failure. Ash refused to sit, even after being offered stickers and a ballon. After 15 mins of trying, we gave up. Why ? They were playing Thomas the Train instead of Barney.

2nd attempt at Super Cuts Compasspoint. This time we prepped her, right from home, thru lunch, we kept telling her about getting a hair cut. When we got to Super Cuts, she was again reluctant, it took some coaxing by Viv before she would sit down. Thankfully, they had the Purple Dinosaur and it was all-systems go....snip-snip !

Air Purifier

We finally bought a air-purifier for the bedroom ever since Ash's 3rd bout of bronchitis. It's funny how we ended up with the Osim air purifier. We went to the new Best Denki and were going to get the Sharp, but we couldn't find the sales promoter even after asking the other staff. The OSIM promoter who was manning his display which was just beside came over and showed us his, so we ended up with the OSIM.....at a $100 cheaper than the Sharp.

Bruised Knee

While running around downstairs, Ash tripped and fell, bruising her knee. At first I thought that she had fallen on her chin aa she was sprawled flat on the rough floor. Fortunately it was only her knee.

Of friends and non-friends

It's amazing how kids at this age begin to form cliques. As far as I know, Ash has formed a clique of 2 close friends at Pat's; Sarah and Vera. Sarah I'm guessing, is perhaps a month or two older than Ash while Vera is about 3 months younger than Ash. They get along pretty well. I've seen Sarah and Ash "communicating" - meaning in language no adult can comprehend, and I've also heard them say good-bye to each other when I pick Ash up.
As with all things, when there are friends, there also non-friends. Why non-friends ? Enemy is too strong a word to use for their age. Ash doesn't like Emma because Emma hogs the Little Tikes toy car.
Yesterday morning she said to me : "Daddy, I don't want Emma sit MY CAR !"


Little Terror ??

Could our sweet little Ash be a little terror ? She tried to push Jema (?) yesterday evening. Miss Dorren also told me that she was put in the naughty corner for trying to pull someone's hair and it was very hard to get her to apologise. Looks like her stubborn streak is starting to show.

Pigs have tails, so has........

Yesterday evening, Viv was showing Ash a picture of a pig and was going thru the different parts such as ears, nose eyes etc with her.

Viv : What's this ?

Ash : Ear !

Viv : What's this ?

Ash : Eyes !

Viv : Does a pig have a tail ?

Ash : Yes !

Viv : Does mummy have a tail ?

Ash : Nooooo.

Viv : Does Ashley have a tail ?

Ash : No.

Viv : Does Daddy have a tail ?

Ash : Yes !! There ! ** Pointing "there" **

Not quite the answer we were expecting !

Smelly !

Last Saturday afternoon, we were walking towards the car-park and a man carrying a lighted cigarette opened the door to the car-park. We were all ready to hurriedly zoom past him as we didn't want Ash to have to smell the 2nd hand smoke. As we walked past him, Ash suddenly said "SMELLY !" and she started blowing from her nose hard, just as we would do when we smell something unpleasant. Viv and I controlled our laughter and when we were sure we out of ear-shot, we broke out laughing.
Wonder what that guy thought when he heard Ash say smelly ! Ha ha ha ha.
